Solid Hardwood Home Office Desk - Ash Herringbone

To create our Ash Computer Desks, we select from dozens of individual pieces of solid hardwood Ash parquet wood blocks and form your home office desk to meet your bespoke dimensions and criteria.

We glue the 10mm solid Ash blocks to a 25mm thick high grade hardwood plywood board and finish the edges with a generous 70mm thick solid Oak frame. We add biscuit joints to each corner for added strength and to show off the contrasting tones in the Oak.

We install on both ends of the desk round cable tidy covers which can be upgraded to solid oak covers for an additional fee. If you prefer only one cable outlet please specify in the checkout comments box.

Before a desk passes the final quality inspection, they must spend several hours being sanded using different grades to ensure a smooth flat surface.  All edges are rounded, and we use Fiddes Natural Hard Wax Oil to seal the Ash finish.

Due to the nature of reclaimed wood, the contrasting tones and characteristics of each piece of wood allow for ageing and wear, meaning this desk will not spoil over time with everyday use.

Our standard desks are approximately 70cm deep and 77cm high but can be made to your preferred depth and height to support a more ergonomic posture. Just let us know.

Current lead time for our handmade to order furniture is between 3-6 weeks (unless we have your chosen size in stock, if so the lead time is usually 2 week.)

Advertised in natural finish (we apply a light coloured oil to prevent yellowing over time.)  Also Available in Oak and different colours like black or white on request. 

HERE’S WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE ORDERING...

• Desktops vary in overall look, by that we mean knots, old nail holes, scratches, different tones etc. We apply a gel filler to ensure a smooth even finish.

• To protect the Natural Hard Wax Oil finish we recommend using coasters for hot cups of tea. 

• Products are shipped with legs unattached, if you choose wooden tapered legs we will install the leg fixings. They will simply screw on. For any other leg type a screwdriver or drill is required.
